I am an active investor who makes small trades of $500-$6,000 in the stock market. My investment goal is to outperform the S&P 500 Total Return Index, a widely accepted benchmark index of the U.S. Stock Market. Do-it-yourself investing became a new occupation after I retired from medical science, stopped using a financial advisor, and started trading securities based on own investment decisions. The investment returns are used to increase my retirement savings and support a charitable fund. I’ve learned a lot about the business world, our economy, and personal investing; and I’m improving with experience. The purpose of this blog is to share useful information and personal experience with interested readers. A good place to start is the HOME page.
